Dear West Genesee Middle School Families,
It looks like spring is right around the corner! We are looking forward to finishing this school year strong. Each and every day our entire staff is focused on creating a school culture that is affirming and character building for our students.
For many years we have partnered with the Positivity Project which focuses on character strengths such as integrity, kindness, optimism and love. These traits are rooted in a foundational belief that we are all built for others! I know our families support and teach these important values at home.
We are also not immune to isolated incidences of hate speech and vandalism. As we begin the third trimester, I am asking that you continue to partner with us in discussions with your child about their words and actions. Our students need to be carefully taught, through our explicit and thoughtful discussion here and at home, that hate has no home at West Genesee.
